The Gro-Tanks 424 system is a simple, practical, and economical solution for home hydroponic cultivation. It requires neither a timer nor additional accessories, and uses easily recyclable components, thus offering an environmentally friendly approach.

Compact and designed to be installed flush with the ground, the Gro-Tanks system is ideal for confined spaces. It does not require a bulky nutrient solution tank, which saves space and simplifies installation.

Reservoir Volume: 45 Liters of Nutrient Solution

The 45 liters tank ensures a continuous supply of nutrient solution for the plants. This sufficient amount allows for optimal supply for rapid and healthy plant growth.

Nutrient Circulation System: Constant Access to Oxygen

The bare roots of the plants have constant access to oxygen thanks to the free circulation of the nutrient solution. The Micro Jet pump, adjustable from 120 to 320 l/h, pushes the solution from the reservoir to the growing tray where it slowly diffuses over the roots. This allows the plants to quickly absorb the necessary nutrients.

Automatic Oxygenation System

An air tube in the reservoir constantly re-oxygenates the nutrient solution before it is recirculated to the roots. This process reduces the risk of stagnation and ensures that the plants benefit from an optimal nutrient environment.

Slow and Shallow Flow Irrigation

Irrigation is done at a slow and shallow flow, of only 1 to 3 mm, which allows the solution to remain in constant motion while providing enough time for the roots to absorb the nutrients.

Nutriculture Tips to Optimize System Use

• Continuous Operation of the Pump: Ensure that the pump operates continuously for a constant supply of nutrients and oxygen.

• Plant Preparation: Cuttings or young plants must be well rooted before placing them in the system. Use Jiffy discs, rock wool cubes, or Root-Riot plugs.

• Spacing of Plants: Make sure to maintain the appropriate spacing between plants based on their mature size. For example, zucchinis will be bulkier, while tomatoes can be taller. Some plants require stakes or trellis nets.

• Use of NFT Root Fiber: Cut appropriate lengths of NFT root fiber to fit the system to the needs of the plants.

• Nutrient Solution Change: Completely replace the nutrient solution every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain balanced pH and EC.
