Epsom Salt – Nutrient and sulfur fertilizer 100% soluble

Epsom Salt is a nutrient composed of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate (MgSO₄ · 7H₂O), containing 16% magnesium (MgO) and 32% sulfur (SO₃). It is fully soluble in water and recognized for its ability to quickly correct magnesium deficiencies, while strengthening the overall health of plants. Usable in organic farming in accordance with EC regulation No. 834/2007.

Used for centuries, this "grandmother's remedy" is ideal for gardeners concerned with maintaining balanced nutrition, especially in cases of long flowering, use of fabric pots, or watering with hard water.

🌿 Why do plants need magnesium?

• Promotes the assimilation of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S)
• Essential for chlorophyll production (photosynthesis)
• Strengthens the cell walls and the vitality of the plant
• Sulfur improves the availability of major nutrients (NPK)

🌱 Recognizing a magnesium deficiency

A magnesium deficiency manifests as:

• Yellowing of the lower leaves, veins remaining green
• Frizzing upwards and browning of the tips

Attention: these symptoms differ from nitrogen deficiencies or red spider mite attacks. Misidentification can worsen the situation.

⚠️ Possible causes of magnesium deficiency

• pH of the soil > 7
• Excess potassium (K) or calcium (Ca)
• Too frequent rinsing or over-greasing
• Soil too wet, too acidic, or temperature < 18°C
• Mother plant left too long in the same pot

💧 Application method

In watering: Dissolve 2 teaspoons in 2.5 L of water. Preferably use warm water to facilitate dissolution. Apply to the soil. Repeat after one month if necessary.

In foliar spraying: Dissolve 1 teaspoon in 2.5 L of water. Spray on the underside of the leaves at the beginning of each cycle or as needed. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or lamps. Preferably apply at dusk or when turning off the lamps.
